Embers are the number one cause of home losses from wildfires. Learn how embers ignite structures and simple ways to prevent them from burning down your home. You will learn how to assess your ember exposures and come up with often simple ways to keep them out. A special thanks to Kirk Mulbach for offering the outside of his residence as our classroom.
Firewise Class: Extreme Gardening- Taming the Scrub Oak Monster, will be held Saturday, June 17th from 9:00 to 11:00 for Perry Park residents. Location is on the west side of Red Rock Circle (by 7735 Red Rock Circle).
Phase 3 of the Upper Cheyenne Wildfire Mitigation Project has begun. Cheyenne Drive, from the gate to the Bear Creek culvert crossing, is temporarily closed for public safety. Please do not hike, bike, horseback ride or drive in this area. It is estimated this closure will be in effect for 2-4 weeks.
Access to Bear Creek Canyon, from the Osage Road trail head, will be closed off to all uses prior to chainsaw crew operations on both sides of the trail.
Please respect these closures for your own safety and the safety of the workers on the projects.

NOTE: because of Microsoft Forms limitations, you will need to hover over some of the answers which Microsoft Forms shortens, if you want to see the full text. For example, the second response on Question 9 will show this if you hover over the answer: "Preserving and Maintaining Perry Park Open Space (open fields, rock formations, public access, emergency operators access)"
