Firewise Class: Extreme Gardening- Taming the Scrub Oak Monster, will be held Saturday, June 17th from 9:00 to 11:00 for Perry Park residents. Location is on the west side of Red Rock Circle (by 7735 Red Rock Circle).
Whether you love or hate scrub oak (aka Gambel oak or oak brush), come and learn how to manage it as part of our wildfire environment. You will learn about the oak clump ecosystem, oak biology, pruning and cutting techniques, and tools needed to meet your objectives. There will also be drawings for prizes.
