Due to the lack of trained and certified fireworks contractors, PPMD was faced with the decision to either cancel fireworks completely or have them on July 3rd. Given the negative feedback for the past July 1st show date, it was felt that July 3rd, while not traditional, has advantages as you plan your July 4th weekend celebrations.
First, most of us begin our celebrations when we leave work behind for a much-anticipated three-day weekend with family and friends. What better way is there to start your launch into the weekend than a fireworks launch?
Second, the Annual Parade takes place on July 4th. Some traditions must be upheld.
Third, PPMD, as the sole funder of the fireworks, needs to be mindful of costs. Yes, there were other contractors. But, at twice the cost! So, plan to join us on July 3rd with an early start for your July 4th weekend.
